Job Overview

The Facilities Operations Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the Facilities Management Department at Georgetown University. This position serves as a liaison with high-level officials, both within and outside the University, to manage financial resources and ensure the effective maintenance of campus facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides oversight and administration of all financial operations of Facilities Management's cost centers
  • Develops and improves business processes and procedures within Facilities Management, recommending process improvements to maintain continuous quality enhancements
  • Administers communication, coordination, and liaison with field personnel, particularly in emergency situations
  • Works within the University's Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure accurate and consistent financial information
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably with familiarity with facilities management or a related field
  • 5-7 years of progressively responsible facilities management experience, including responsibility for program budgeting, personnel, and procurement, with at least 3 years of analytic experience
  • High comfort level with personal computer technology and ability to master the organization's CMMS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information and direction effectively to superiors and subordinates alike
  • Analytic ability and capability for using technology to generate reports and studies
  • Ability to prioritize, successfully manage multiple tasks, and adapt to change in a dynamic work environment
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
Work Environment

The Facilities Operations Analyst is designated as an essential position, requiring the incumbent to report to work during inclement weather at the regularly scheduled time, regardless of whether the University is closed, opening late, or closing early.
