Job Summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Lung Disease Registered Nurse to serve as the clinical liaison for our Ambulatory Lung Disease Program. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in coordinating clinical activities, providing compassionate nursing support, and educating patients and caregivers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triaging and Clinical Coordination: Manage incoming triage calls, perform clinical assessments, and coordinate clinical activities in accordance with orders, policies, and protocols.
  • Patient Support and Education: Provide focused nursing support to patients, caregivers, and family members, and educate them on disease management and treatment options.
  • Clinical Decision-Making: Use clinical reasoning based on established evidence-based policies, procedures, and guidelines to make informed decisions.
  • Program Coordination: Assist with new patient appointments, coordinate outgoing referrals, and participate in planning activities for pulmonary support groups.
  • Medication Management: Coordinate scheduling of lab testing and medication titration for patients on high-risk medications, and report any abnormal findings to ALD providers.
  • Specialty Pharmacy Support: Assist with new specialty pharmacy-provided medication enrollments, prior authorizations, insurance appeals, and financial assistance.
  • Representation and Advocacy: Represent Piedmont Healthcare to national nonprofit organizations and accrediting bodies, and participate on relevant committees and attend national meetings and conferences.
Requirements
  • Education: Successful completion of an accredited registered nurse program or bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Experience: None required.
  • Licensure/Certification: State of Georgia Licensure as a registered nurse required.
