POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
We are in search of a skilled thoracic surgeon to lead the Lung Cancer Program.
This role involves crafting and executing strategies aimed at delivering superior cancer care and achieving optimal treatment results.

The candidate will be expected to spearhead research initiatives in thoracic cancers and engage actively in multidisciplinary clinical activities within the NHCI Lung Cancer Program.


Primary Focus:
Thoracic Surgery related to lung, esophageal, and other respiratory system cancers.

POSITION DESCRIPTION


The ideal applicant will possess a strong background in program development and leadership, complemented by experience in advanced technologies and surgical innovations that enhance the Program's dedication to outstanding patient outcomes.

This individual will work collaboratively with physicians, clinicians, and administrators to foster a patient-centered culture that prioritizes quality, safety, and efficiency while championing a multidisciplinary approach to patient care as a leader in innovation and collaboration at local, regional, and national levels.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Board-certified thoracic surgeon
Fellowship trained in cardiothoracic surgery or thoracic surgical oncology
Proficiency in minimally invasive thoracic surgery is essential
5-8 years of clinical experience is preferred
A proven history of effective leadership in a progressive academic medical center or community hospital
Experience and a commitment to cancer research and clinical trials are highly desirable.
