We invite you to join our team as a Project Manager within our Stormwater division based in our Charlotte, NC office.

Project Managers are entrusted with the systematic and consistent execution of projects, which may involve overseeing and managing personnel, resources, and client relationships to ensure mutual success for our Clients, Department, and Company. Key responsibilities include coordination, communication, and adherence to Company and Department processes, procedures, and standards, while promoting our Company culture and core values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Anticipate workload and address any imbalances or surpluses
  • Oversee project management, delegate tasks, and engage in project design
  • Organize and lead project meetings
  • Act as the Company's representative in client communications throughout the project lifecycle and in post-project marketing activities
  • Draft agreements detailing scope, schedule, fees, and terms, and communicate these to project team members
  • Ensure the financial success of projects and proactively manage changes in scope, billing, schedules, and settlements
  • Maintain regular communication with supervisors regarding significant challenges, deviations from procedures, or incidents on projects
  • Oversee and approve design, construction plans, bid documents, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates
  • Implement quality control/quality assurance in line with Company and Department standards and client and regulatory requirements
  • Lead and/or participate in mentoring, career development planning, performance evaluations, and resource sharing for all supervised team members
  • Encourage a positive work environment; engage in Company, Department, and Team meetings, team-building activities, and community engagement
  • Foster existing client relationships through regular meetings, proposal and budget development, and feedback collection in collaboration with Marketing and Department personnel as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in Stormwater engineering/industry with proven team management experience
  • Professional Engineer License
  • Self-motivated, engaged, and team-oriented with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong leadership and project management capabilities along with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Familiarity with contracts, accounting principles, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Able to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities
  • Demonstrated success in nurturing existing client relationships

Working Conditions

This role may require occasional evening/weekend work and outdoor job site visits. Candidates should enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced, and client-focused environment.

Physical Requirements

This position may occasionally involve repetitive physical tasks (such as using a computer), standing and/or sitting for extended periods, traveling in a vehicle for long durations, and carrying equipment and materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
