Position SummaryThis role is situated within the Strategic Planning and Operations Division, focusing on critical asset management for stormwater infrastructure.
The Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing engineering project management, technical design, and condition assessments to maintain essential stormwater facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct quality control of asset condition data and inspection reports, identifying urgent repair and maintenance needs.
- Develop comprehensive repair and maintenance strategies, perform hydraulic and hydrologic analyses, and prepare cost estimates.
- Coordinate real estate acquisitions, manage consultant contracts, and oversee projects through the construction phase.
- Provide mentorship to staff, develop standard operating procedures, and identify workflow improvements.
- Assist in prioritizing proactive maintenance and repair actions, ensuring the longevity of critical facilities.
- Support continuous evaluation of asset conditions to inform capital and operational investments.
- Facilitate data collection, life-cycle analysis, and reporting of key performance metrics.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Proficient understanding of inspections, maintenance, and repair of storm drainage systems.
Familiarity with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software, including Hydro CAD, HEC-RAS, and Arc-GIS Pro.
Experience in stormwater asset management, structural evaluation, and the design and construction of drainage infrastructure.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage critical paths in project initiation, planning, implementation, and closeout.
Ability to conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and effectively organize and prioritize tasks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on collaboration and conflict resolution.
Knowledge of local land development standards and proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
Preferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer License and relevant certifications are advantageous.
Minimum QualificationsA Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and a minimum of three years of relevant experience are required.
