Essential qualifications for the ideal candidate include:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- 2 to 5 years of progressive design experience in civil/site, land development, or renewable energy projects, particularly in site and stormwater management design
- Previous experience in a consulting engineering firm
- Registered Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) or Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and Microsoft Office applications
- Willingness to travel as necessary for project-related tasks
- Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive attitude
- Valid US Driver's License and reliable transportation
Desirable skills for the successful candidate may include:
- Experience in surveying, environmental assessments, permitting/zoning research, critical issues analysis, due diligence/site constraint reviews, feasibility studies, geotechnical design, and/or structural design
- Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience with Renewable Energy projects (PV, BESS, HV Design, Green Hydrogen) across the United States
- Familiarity with GIS software for data processing and figure/exhibit development

- Preparing Contract Documents (Applications, Engineering Reports, Site Plans, and Technical Specifications) for permitting and construction purposes
- Conducting stormwater management design, including hydraulic and hydrologic analysis/evaluation, HydroCAD modeling, and preparation of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and Stormwater Management Reports
- Developing Erosion and Sediment Control/BMP design, Utility, Grading, and Landscaping Plans, Construction Phasing/Sequencing Plans, and earthwork volume calculations
- Actively participating in your professional development, including opportunities for elective continuing education courses, involvement in community and professional organizations, and managing projects that challenge you to grow as a professional.
