Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled ER Tech I to join our team at Queen's Health System. As an ER Tech I, you will be responsible for providing patient care and performing various tests and procedures in a fast-paced emergency room environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care and support to patients in the emergency room
  • Perform various tests and procedures, including vital signs, ECGs, and other medical procedures
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, including restocking supplies and equipment
  • Operate hospital equipment, such as wheelchairs and IVAC machines
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Nurse Aide training program or equivalent experience
  • EMT certification or military medical corpsman experience
  • BLS/HCP certification
  • One year of experience as an ER Tech, nursing assistant, or EMT/MICT in an acute care hospital
Working Conditions

The ER Tech I will work in a fast-paced emergency room environment, with frequent exposure to blood products, body fluids, and communicable diseases. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and challenging setting.
