Job Summary

As a Marine Machinery Mechanic Supervisor I, you will oversee a team of technicians responsible for maintaining and repairing marine engines and equipment. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of our vessels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and supervise a team of technicians in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining marine engines and equipment.
  • Coordinate with contractor technical representatives to ensure timely and effective repairs.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as mechanical engineering or marine technology.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marine machinery maintenance and repair, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of marine engines and equipment, including propulsion systems, auxiliary generators, and fire fighting machinery.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of technicians.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a shipyard environment, with exposure to noise, dust, and other hazardous materials. You must be able to wear personal protective equipment, including a hard hat, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
