About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team at Biogen. As a key member of our Global Business Services organization, you will be responsible for managing aspects of the category management within Biogen's Business Travel and Fleet category.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead subcategories within Biogen's Business Travel and Fleet category to develop and implement sub-category strategies for air travel, fleet management, auto, rail, travel management company, and corporate credit cards.
  • Support globalization of processes to drive efficiency, leverage, and savings.
  • Work with cross-functional teams using spend data analytics, market research, and cost modeling to identify and leverage high-value opportunities that deliver innovative and sustainable value, operational efficiencies, and risk mitigation to the business.
  • Partner with stakeholders and build relationships that facilitate the realization of business value and savings.
  • Continually explore opportunities for improvement in each category.
  • Continually monitor the market to understand leading best practices and changes in the industry landscape.
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in a related field, with experience in sourcing for travel and fleet being a plus.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills that provide insights and formulate recommendations using data-driven solutions.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate, build relationships, and influence peers and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to deal with change and ambiguity effectively.
  • Project management skills with the ability to plan tasks, assign resources, manage progress, remove barriers, manage change, and resolve conflict.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to the given audience and present information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and multitask in a flexible, fast-paced, and challenging environment.
  • Ability to identify process improvements and offer cost savings solutions.
