Are you eager to broaden your mechanical expertise? We are in search of a candidate with experience in the maintenance of diesel engines and heavy machinery, as well as a desire to learn about new equipment. As a Level I Technician, you should possess experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance, while being open to acquiring knowledge about our specialized machinery.

Do you thrive in a collaborative environment but also excel independently? Our maintenance team works collectively to complete work orders, yet there will be occasions where you will be tasked with individual assignments, making a strong work ethic essential.

Do you approach your work with a Customer Service mindset? Your co-workers are your customers. Whether you are repairing forklifts, trailers, trucks, or other equipment, your focus should be on delivering exceptional service and addressing the core issues rather than temporary fixes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine vehicles or equipment to diagnose issues
  • Conduct breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance to enhance equipment reliability
  • Troubleshoot and repair various types of production machinery
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with corporate and OSHA standards
  • Be prepared to undertake additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
Essential Qualifications:
  • Possess and maintain the basic tools necessary for repairs
  • 1-3 years of experience in maintaining and repairing heavy-duty equipment and/or diesel vehicles
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical repairs is advantageous
  • Demonstrated electrical and mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with engines from Cummins, Caterpillar, and Detroit Diesel is preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals
  • Must have a personal set of tools
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand for extended periods
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • Capable of using a variety of tools
