Job Overview

Position: Heavy Equipment Lube Technician

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Heavy Equipment Lube Technician to become an integral part of our operations. The technician will be responsible for performing maintenance services on a diverse range of construction and mining machinery, including mobile power generators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, excavators, and off-road forklifts. This role involves operating a service/lube truck and traveling to various job sites to ensure equipment is running efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to job locations using the Service/Lube Truck.
  • Maintain accurate D.O.T. documentation.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks as per service schedules.
  • Coordinate with supervisors to arrange service appointments.
  • Inspect machinery for necessary repairs or preventative maintenance.
  • Read and understand operating manuals and maintenance instructions.
  • Complete service and inspection reports accurately.
  • Collect fluid samples from machinery.
  • Perform basic repairs on equipment and vehicles as needed.
  • Follow company safety protocols and operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including working under vehicles and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (Mandatory)
  • Mechanically inclined with a strong understanding of equipment.
  • Prior experience as a heavy equipment technician is preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
  • Acceptable driving record (Mandatory)

Education and Experience:

  • A combination of education and experience that demonstrates the necessary knowledge and skills for the role.
  • Willingness to perform manual labor and follow both verbal and written instructions.

Special Requirements: Must successfully pass controlled substance tests prior to and throughout employment.
