About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Boston Medical Center, where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients. As a key member of our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, you will work collaboratively with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to individuals across various age groups, from pediatric to geriatric populations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physical therapists in providing physical therapy treatments and procedures as directed.
  • Perform advanced manual skills, including joint mobilization, stretching, and taping, to implement PT-specific plans of care.
  • Document patient progress and modify treatments accordingly based on the scope of treatment established by physical therapists.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and participate in educational activities and programs.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • An Associate's Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant studies from an accredited institution is required.
  • A current Commonwealth of Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligibility status is mandatory.
  • BLS for Healthcare Workers Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross is also required.
  • 1-3 years of experience is preferred but not necessary.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
