Role Summary:
We are in search of a proactive and detail-oriented ESG Manager to spearhead our sustainability initiatives and ensure transparent reporting. This role is crucial for advancing our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices, with a focus on recycling, carbon footprint reduction, and sustainable procurement. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, analytical, and ESG skills, collaborating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve our sustainability objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the ESG data collection process, establishing deadlines, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress to meet annual reporting requirements.
- Prepare materials for stakeholders and assist in developing and executing the ESG disclosure reporting program.
- Conduct ongoing benchmarking of ESG and sustainability disclosures against industry peers and best practices.
- Recommend and manage eco-friendly initiatives, acting as the project manager and internal advocate.
- Coordinate information for CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Collaborate with external partners to enhance our ESG reporting capabilities.
- Work with Communications and relevant internal teams to support the development of our annual ESG report.
- Serve as the primary contact for internal and external ESG-related inquiries.
- Engage with various departments, including supply chain and procurement, to drive sustainability initiatives.
- Support customers and vendors by completing necessary ESG documentation.
- Assist in formulating and executing long-term sustainability goals.
- Evaluate the financial implications of ESG initiatives and propose cost-effective solutions.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to maintain leadership in sustainability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or a related discipline.
- 5-7 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, or related fields, preferably in manufacturing, packaging, printing, automotive, or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
- Demonstrated success in managing sustainability projects and driving organizational change.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with CDP reporting and other sustainability frameworks (Ecovadis, ISS, etc.).
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Background in financial analysis related to sustainability initiatives.
