About this role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at IHC Health Services, Inc. As an APP, you will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to provide quality care and excellent patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to provide patient care in a clinic setting.
- Monitor post-operative and routine visit patients, and be responsible for seeing new patients.
- Provide patient care at the top of licensure, within your scope of practice, and perform procedures as outlined by specialty.
- Consult with other healthcare providers, and provide education to patients, families, and clinical staff.
- Prescribe or administer prescription drugs or devices in accordance with a consultation and referral plan.
Requirements:
- Current state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA).
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II through V.
- Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V.
- BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Other certification as required (e.g. ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cardiology, Cardiovascular or Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Vascular Surgery experience highly preferred.
- New grads who have successfully completed a rotation in any of the above areas are welcome to apply.
- Masters degree or higher.
- Applicable certification from a recognized certifying organization such as the National Commission of Physician Assistants.
- Applicable experience as defined by position leadership.
