Position Overview: Under the guidance of the Nurse Manager or Director, this role delivers professional, skilled, age-appropriate nursing care for patients in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, perform patient-related tasks, including direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily activities of living (ADLs), and executing clinical procedures as needed.

The Patient Care Technician will communicate patient needs effectively and observe/report any changes in the patient's condition to the supervising Nurse or Physician, ensuring all interactions are documented accurately in the patient's medical record.

Compensation:
Hourly Pay Rate: $15.60 - $23.01

Qualifications:

  • Education: A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Experience: At least one (1) year of relevant experience in nursing assistance or healthcare is preferred.
  • Specialized Training: Completion of approved computer training courses through Valleywise Health is required.
  • Certification/Licensure: Must possess licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) through the AZ Board of Nursing. A BLS certification from an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center is also required upon hire.

  • Bilingual candidates are preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse population.
  • Strong communication, time management, and leadership skills are essential.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
