Job Summary

We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to join our team at AMR. As an EMT, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and emergency medical services to our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
  • Documentation and Confidentiality: Accurately document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
  • Environment and Equipment: Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients, and utilize EMT skills to provide care, including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools.
  • Ambulance Operations: Operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel, as well as fellow EMTs.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Community Programs: Participate in community programs to maintain AMR's image and establish strong community relations.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent (GED), State EMT License, State Driver's License, BLS, NREMT.
  • Driving Record and Physical Agility: Driving record compliant with company policy, pass Physical Agility Test.
  • Work Experience: Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Availability and Adaptability: Available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays, extended workdays, and long periods inside the ambulance.
  • Physical Demands: Moderate to extended amounts of sitting, standing, and walking, some repetitive motion activities, routinely lifting more than 200 lbs. with assistance, pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, carrying, typing, and stair climbing.
  • Visual and Auditory Requirements: Visual identification of color-coded items, clear speech and hearing, and ability to wear a face mask or respirator with proper fit for extended periods when required.
