Job Summary

Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a key member of our dialysis care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals undergoing hemodialysis treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Assist patients with hemodialysis treatment, including setup, operation, and maintenance of dialysis machines.
  • Education and Training: Provide patient education on dialysis treatment, vascular access, and disease management.
  • Treatment Administration: Administer heparin and perform vascular access cannulation as delegated by licensed nurses.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document patient treatment information, vital signs, and laboratory results.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and support.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in dialysis technology or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; basic math skills and attention to detail.
