We are seeking a dedicated and innovative scientist to enhance our preclinical pharmacology division.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust foundation in molecular pharmacology pertinent to oncology or other medical conditions, demonstrated expertise in exploring disease mechanisms and drug interactions, as well as proficiency in employing various molecular techniques to investigate physiological processes at both cellular and molecular scales. A background in small-molecule drug discovery is advantageous.

The successful applicant will collaborate within a diverse team of medicinal chemists, enzymologists, cell and chemical biologists, pharmacologists, and DMPK specialists, with a focus on the creation of novel therapeutic agents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute translational experiments, including in vitro, ex-vivo, and in vivo studies, in partnership with preclinical pharmacologists, biomarker scientists, and biologists.
  • Remain informed about advancements in technologies related to molecular and cellular processes to enhance efficacy and pharmacology evaluations.
  • Conduct experiments, interpret data, and communicate results to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop expertise in creating and applying biomarker methodologies utilizing molecular and protein technologies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement studies that progress development candidates.
  • Facilitate compound progression through in vitro and in vivo studies for IND-enabling research.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in molecular pharmacology, molecular cell biology, or a related discipline with relevant industry experience.
  • Proven history of designing intricate in vitro and ex-vivo studies that support preclinical and clinical research, including biomarker implementation.
  • Experience with metabolic imaging techniques such as PET/SPECT and MRI/MRS.
  • Understanding of regulatory standards for biomarker assessment in drug development.
  • Strong record of publications and presentations.
  • Ability to think independently while fostering effective collaboration.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
