Job Title: National Field Organizer

The League of Women Voters of the United States is seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Field Organizer to join our dynamic Organizing Department. This role will play a critical part in supporting the development and implementation of our organizing and movement-building strategy to build power at the state and local level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build strong relationships with League leaders and key organizations in assigned target states.
  • Develop and implement online and offline organizing strategies to build grassroots people-power.
  • Support the expansion of state and local League online presence and offline presence to grow the base and supporters.
  • Strategize and support assigned target state and local Leagues to adopt and leverage League In Action to maximize state/local League goals and further LWVUS organizing goals.
  • Identify training and resource development needs and support the development of trainings and resources.
  • Support the development and implementation of campaigns to grow LWV's members, power, and engagement with communities within the New American Majority.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2-years' experience in community, labor, issue, or political organizing, or leadership development.
  • Ability to develop trainings and resources to train-the-trainers and leaders.
  • Experience implementing, monitoring, and assessing campaign and/or field plans.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent people skills.
  • Ability to engage diverse communities in an authentic way.

  • Competitive salary range of $65,000.
