POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Manufacturing Assembly Specialist plays a crucial role in our production process, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

  • Familiarity with all Draw Tower equipment part names and terminology is essential.
  • Responsible for completing the requirements outlined in Training Checklists.
  • Engages in cleaning and fire polishing standard tubing products under supervision.
  • Monitors standard tubing draws effectively, utilizing a microscope to verify product dimensions and reels as necessary.
  • Identifies process and equipment issues, promptly reporting them to the supervisor while assisting colleagues as needed.
  • Adheres to established safety protocols at all times.
  • Reviews the schedule board daily, gathering comprehensive information from the previous shift operator regarding tower operations.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides support and maintenance as required, including changing gas cylinders, emptying and replacing trash barrels, and cleaning coating bucket components.
  • Ensures that the work area, applicators, and buckets are prepared for the next shift.
  • Accurate completion of data entry and documentation related to the manufacturing area is required.
  • Contributes to and supports the Polymicro/Molex Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO), and Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned by management.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a mechanical or manufacturing role, including military or related fields, is preferred.
