Job Overview

Position Summary: The Assembly Line Support Specialist plays a crucial role in the construction of component parts for commercial evaporative cooler units. This position involves verifying the accuracy of component quantities, conducting quality checks on finished products, managing inventory, and utilizing hand tools and mechanical equipment to ensure the integrity of assembled products. This role is vital in delivering high-quality, factory-assembled solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble parts and sub-assemblies while performing final quality assessments.
  • Complete repetitive assembly tasks efficiently.
  • Package and transfer units to the finished goods area for customer shipment.
  • Construct cooling units, including soldering pipes and wiring. Conduct assembly and inspection of commercial evaporative units.
  • Execute various assembly tasks such as wiring, brazing, soldering, taping, and insulating, while adhering to work orders and production drawings.
  • Interpret technical instructions and engineering blueprints accurately.
  • Assess the quality of materials and components used in production.
  • Maintain inventory of parts and tools utilized during assembly.
  • Perform cleaning and inspection of parts, including disassembly of rework units as needed.
  • Adhere to quality and safety protocols, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
  • Package completed products for transportation.
  • Contribute to workflow optimization efforts for enhanced productivity and safety.
  • Assist with both Industrial and Residential Assembly lines as required.
  • Complete assigned tasks within reasonable timeframes in accordance with current production standards.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Comply with all safety procedures while performing work duties.
  • Be available for overtime based on production demands.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; relevant experience or training is preferred.
  • Must be a flexible, proactive team player committed to achieving company objectives.
  • Ability to perform essential duties efficiently and safely.
  • Familiarity with machinery and operational functions relevant to the role.
  • Possess adequate skills in the assigned trade and related operations.
  • Knowledge of current trade practices, materials, and tools affecting work performance.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals; capable of writing routine reports and following verbal or written instructions.
  • Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Ability to apply common sense to execute detailed instructions and address problems in standardized situations.
