Market Intelligence Services
- Participate in stakeholder meetings and produce concise reports within days of each meeting, including analysis where relevant, on significant presentations, announcements, discussions, and developments for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Customize reporting and analysis to align with clients' commercial interests, such as generation, transmission, load, and trading, while considering financial, policy, legal, and technical aspects.
- Independently identify and articulate issues based on clients' commercial interests.
- Advise on suitable courses of action in line with clients' commercial objectives.
- Deliver timely reporting and analysis on developments with immediate and substantial commercial implications for clients.
- Maintain close communication with clients, addressing inquiries promptly and conducting regular conference calls.
- Engage and support clients through comprehensive reports and analyses, as well as consulting projects related to existing and emerging market designs in various regions.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the energy sector is required.
- A relevant college degree is required; a graduate degree or advanced industry training is preferred.
- Experience and knowledge of wholesale energy markets, including resource and transmission planning, generation interconnection, resource adequacy, and market design are essential.
- Familiarity with ISO/RTO frameworks is required, with a strong preference for MISO.
- Excellent writing skills are mandatory.
- Experience in writing under tight deadlines is preferred.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills are necessary.
- Effective verbal and public presentation skills are preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively is required.
- A business development orientation is preferred.
Location
This position offers remote work opportunities in the Midwest region.
Travel Requirements
The role will necessitate attendance at stakeholder meetings and occasional travel to relevant regional market-related meetings, workshops, industry conferences, and client meetings.
