Your Role: Construction Equipment Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
As a Construction Equipment Specialist, you will be engaged in large-scale commercial underground projects, utilizing heavy machinery to excavate, grade, and transport materials efficiently.
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, and backhoes.
- Ensure equipment is prepared and maintained for daily operations.
- Calculate and establish appropriate grades and elevations using various tools.
- Change attachments and buckets as necessary.
- Install services such as fire hydrants, storm drains, and sewer connections.
- Interpret blueprints and construction plans accurately.
- Conduct equipment inspections and submit detailed reports.
- Adhere to safety protocols and standards consistently.
You will be working on-site at various job locations, with a typical schedule from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. Travel to job sites is required, and mileage reimbursement will be provided.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Experience operating heavy machinery, particularly in underground or wet utility construction.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- A strong interest in construction and a desire to be part of a long-term team.
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
- A willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions.
Compensation and Benefits:
Your compensation will range from $34 to $54 per hour, with the potential for overtime and additional bonuses. We conduct monthly evaluations for merit increases.
Our comprehensive benefits package includes employer-sponsored medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k plan with company matching, paid time off, and paid holidays.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to gain ownership in the company through our ESOP.
