Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at PCL Construction, Inc. in Long Beach, California.
This is a regular full-time position that offers a comprehensive total rewards package, including a competitive salary range of $76,500 to $98,500 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain contracts with select trade partners and oversee subcontract administration, including defining work scope, answering inquiries, and supervising progress.
- Participate in change management and change order process, including pricing, processing, and assessing cost and schedule impact.
- Maintain and perform project document control and procedures, including coordinating RFIs, shop drawings, and submittals.
- Collaborate with the project team lead in supervising design and responding to submittal schedules.
- Participate in reviews of trade partners' submittals for compliance with scope and design documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers and superintendents to manage and report overall project performance.
- Prepare and supervise progress claims and estimates.
- Coordinate inventory and tracking of materials and equipment and expedite material orders.
- Assist with site inspections to resolve constructability and site coordination issues.
- Participate in overall project closeout, including document archival, maintenance, and warranty manuals.
- 1-3 years of construction experience in an operational role preferred.
- Associates or bachelor's degree in a related subject area, such as construction management, engineering, or architecture.
- Verified understanding of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, project health, safety, and environment (HSE), quality, building materials, and required standards.
- Ability to apply basic engineering/problem-solving principles to construction challenges.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrates flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize own work, and delegate simple tasks.
- Ability to build a comprehensive schedule and coordinate subcontracts and contract documents.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and internal operational systems.
