Overview

Brooksource is in search of a meticulous and proactive IT Support Clerk. The selected candidate will play a vital role in overseeing a substantial volume of support requests, organizing them effectively, and prioritizing urgent matters for the appropriate departments. This position is essential for ensuring the smooth and prompt resolution of system and application support inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promptly assess and classify incoming support requests.
  • Identify and forward urgent tickets to the necessary teams.
  • Collaborate with Help Desk, Application, System, and Desktop Support teams.
  • Monitor and report on trends in support requests to relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct triage to assess the urgency of issues based on their severity and impact.
  • Oversee ticket management for two operational systems, ensuring efficient handling of high-volume requests.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in Help Desk, Application Support, System Support, or Desktop Support roles.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and the capacity to work autonomously.
  • Strong communication skills, with a focus on effective problem resolution.
  • A proactive approach with a proven history of fulfilling commitments.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with ticketing platforms such as Jira and Zendesk is a plus.
  • Capability to identify significant IT challenges and prioritize them accordingly.

Work Environment

  • Onsite position with standard working hours.
  • Contract position with opportunities for extension or transition.
  • Compensation range: $18-$20 per hour.
