Position Overview:
As the Facilities and Safety Manager at Dick Hannah Corporate Offices, you will be instrumental in integrating environmental health and safety protocols into our corporate culture. This essential role encompasses a variety of responsibilities related to site management, including facility upkeep, adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, injury prevention measures, and risk management strategies.

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Range: $85,000-$105,000 DOE

Paid Time Off (PTO): We emphasize the importance of work-life balance, offering generous PTO. New full-time employees earn 4 hours per pay period, accumulating approximately 96 hours in the first year, with increases over time.

Comprehensive Benefits Package: Our organization provides extensive health benefits beginning the first month after 60 days of employment. Options include medical, dental, vision, Health Savings and Flexible Spending accounts, life insurance, and both short- and long-term disability coverage, along with a robust 401(k) plan for retirement savings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and execute effective compliance strategies to ensure adherence to all internal and external environmental health and safety regulations.
  • Establish and nurture positive working relationships across various job categories.
  • Oversee and coordinate maintenance and groundskeeping personnel and services.
  • Regularly communicate project and facility status updates to senior management.
  • Manage the facility request system to ensure timely resolution of inquiries.
  • Develop and maintain operating budgets, comparing actual expenditures against projections.
  • Design, implement, and uphold a workplace safety program in line with state and federal agency requirements.
  • Create and enforce clear policies and procedures to meet safety objectives.
  • Collaborate with managers, supervisors, and employees to achieve safety targets.
  • Identify, analyze, and address safety concerns.
  • Coordinate with contractors, insurance representatives, and regulatory officials for periodic facility inspections.
  • Maintain organized records and report to various regulatory agencies for compliance purposes.
  • Work with Managers, Employees, and HR to facilitate Early Return to Work for injured employees.
  • Conduct Respiratory Fit Tests and Practical Evaluations for Forklift and Aerial Lift operations.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in industrial safety, occupational safety and health, safety management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with employee safety and health administration principles, including safety education, auditing, compliance inspections, accident investigations, and safety committee operations.
  • Working knowledge of the Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act (WISHA), Oregon OSHA, and OSHA regulations.
  • Basic understanding of dealership operations is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in industrial safety is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as other necessary systems.
  • Strong communication skills, including listening and speaking.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively while meeting deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Research and general math skills.
