Job Summary

The Patient Care Tech (PCT) plays a vital role in providing direct patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the PCT performs a range of essential patient services, including bathing, mouth care, and vital sign collection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Collect and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
  • Provide basic care, including mouth care, elimination, and hygiene
  • Assist with patient transfers and mobility
  • Perform designated bedside lab tests and collect specimens
  • Apply oxygen therapy and perform electrocardiogram (ECG) as directed
  • Assist with wound care and urinary catheterizations
  • Initiate emergency procedures as necessary
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • State-tested Nurse Assistant or completion of a PCT training program
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Computer literacy and basic math skills
