Job Summary

Select Specialty Hospital is seeking a skilled Telemetry Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for monitoring patients' cardiac rhythms and responding to alarms in a timely and appropriate manner.

Responsibilities

As a Telemetry Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Continuously observing all monitors assigned and responding to alarms promptly and appropriately.
  • Completing EKG interpretations, including rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, and waveform alterations.
  • Ensuring strip interpretations are validated by a registered nurse.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred background as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Paramedic, or RN nursing student with EKG training.
