As an HR Operations Specialist, you will report to the Director of Employee Experience & EEO Officer and deliver comprehensive human resources support across multiple functions, including recruitment, employee relations, leave management, and policy execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer employee leave programs and policies in accordance with Federal and State regulations.
  • Monitor citywide attendance and address any related issues.
  • Facilitate management team activities to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Prepare necessary documentation and materials as required.
  • Manage and track unemployment insurance claims.
  • Update the HR web page and create presentations as needed.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders on inquiries and requests for information.
  • Support departmental initiatives and communicate City policies as necessary.
  • Oversee and track various departmental programs and processes.
  • Work with HR Business Partners to establish metrics for success and improvement.
  • Assist in employee benefits education and departmental training initiatives.
  • Support talent acquisition efforts as directed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications | Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in HR or related roles.
  • Proficient knowledge of office software and HRIS systems.
  • Understanding of human resources practices and employment laws.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information.
  • Must be proficient in all essential job functions.
