Job Summary:

This role requires an individual with exceptional sales and leadership skills to oversee both sales and product management for our Citrus program. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the fresh produce industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive business growth.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Manage Strategic Plans:
    • Forecast future demands, volume, and revenue projections to ensure compliance with objectives.
    • Expand sales opportunities within the region by developing and maintaining relationships with existing and new customers.
    • Create effective sales presentations, programs, materials, and tools to use with new and existing customers.
  • Manage Sales Strategy:
    • Negotiate pricing and volume with assigned customers to achieve sales objectives.
    • Manage customer order entry systems, including creating sales orders, assigning carriers, and managing daily changes.
  • Product Management:
    • Oversee inventory management and ensure all inventories are uploaded accordingly.
    • Supervise material inventories and vendor rebate programs.
    • Maintain Standard of Operations (SOP) in all categories under his responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • A 4-year degree in Business or a related field from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in fresh produce sales, preferably with large retailers, wholesalers, food service, small independent, and cash customers.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and oral communication.
  • Ability to grow a business and work within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Effective meeting and customer preparation & planning skills.
  • Independent problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledgeable in current practices, trends, technology, and information affecting customers.

Salary:

$95,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
