INTERNATIONAL TAX ANALYST

SpaceX is looking to enhance its international tax team with a Tax Analyst who will manage both U.S. and local tax obligations for SpaceX subsidiaries as we broaden our Starlink initiatives globally. This role will be situated within the international tax division based in Hawthorne.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and coordinate data with external partners for the filing of direct and indirect tax returns, as well as month-end financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and e-invoicing requirements in jurisdictions where Starlink operates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including operations, commercial, legal, customs, treasury, accounting, and finance) to establish a robust network for compliance with local laws.
  • Oversee tax payments, including tracking payment deadlines, calculating accurate amounts, and ensuring proper accounting entries.
  • Assist in maintaining tax documentation, legal agreements, customs records, and transfer pricing files.
  • Support the handling of inquiries and audits from various tax authorities.
  • Provide assistance on special projects as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of 2 years of combined tax experience in public accounting and/or large multinational firms.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or taxation.
  • Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm or large multinational corporations.
  • Familiarity with e-invoicing systems and VAT regulations.
  • Fluency in French, Spanish, or Portuguese.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools, including OneSource, Alteryx, and SQL.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and efficient in work processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively both collaboratively and independently.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as necessary to meet critical deadlines.
  • This position requires onsite presence in Hawthorne, CA; remote or hybrid arrangements are not available.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Salary range for the Tax Analyst position is $75,000 to $115,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on individual qualifications, including job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for long-term incentives such as company stock, stock options, or cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses. Comprehensive benefits include medical, vision, and dental coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various discounts and perks. Employees accrue three weeks of paid vacation and are eligible for ten or more paid holidays each year. Exempt employees receive five days of sick leave annually.
