Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and coordinate tax data with external service providers for direct and indirect tax returns, as well as month-end financial reporting activities.
  • Ensure existing jurisdictions are compliant with local tax requirements and e-invoicing regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, commercial, legal, customs, treasury, accounting, and finance, to ensure compliance with local legislation.
  • Coordinate tax payments, including monitoring payment dates, calculating correct payment amounts, and ensuring payments are properly recorded in the books.
  • Maintain tax records, legal agreements, customs, and transfer pricing documentation.
  • Assist with notices/audits received from various taxing authorities.
  • Provide support as needed on ad hoc projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or tax.
  • 5+ years of combined tax experience in public accounting and/or large multinational companies.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience at Big 4 accounting firm or multinational companies.
  • Prior experience dealing with e-invoicing environments and VAT.
  • Fluency in French, Spanish, or Portuguese.
  • Data analytics skills, knowledge of OneSource, Alteryx, SQL.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and efficient in work processes.
  • Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines.
  • This position requires being onsite in Hawthorne, CA, and remote or hybrid work will not be considered.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay range: $110,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year. Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You will also receive access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various other discounts and perks. You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year. Exempt employees are eligible for 5 days of sick leave per year.
