Job Summary

SpaceX is seeking a highly skilled Tax Analyst to join our international tax team located in Hawthorne. As a Tax Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with local tax requirements and e-invoicing regulations for SpaceX subsidiaries worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Preparation and Coordination: Prepare and coordinate data with external service providers for the preparation of direct and indirect tax returns, as well as month-end financial reporting activities.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure existing jurisdictions in which Starlink has operations are compliant with local tax requirements and e-invoicing requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, commercial, legal, customs, treasury, accounting, and finance, to ensure compliance with local legislation.
  • Tax Payments: Coordinate tax payments, including monitoring payment dates, calculating correct payment amounts, and ensuring payments are properly recorded in the books.
  • Tax Record Maintenance: Assist with maintaining tax records, legal agreements, customs, and transfer pricing documentation.
  • Audit Support: Assist with notices/audits received from various taxing authorities.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Provide support as needed on ad hoc projects.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or tax.
  • Experience: 2+ years of combined tax experience in public accounting and/or large multinational companies.
  • Skills: Prior experience dealing with e-invoicing environments and VAT, data analytics skills, knowledge of OneSource, Alteryx, and SQL.
  • Language: Fluency in French, Spanish, or Portuguese.

  • Willingness to Work Extended Hours: Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines.
  • On-Site Work: This position is based in Hawthorne, CA, and requires being on-site; remote or hybrid work will not be considered.
