Purpose of Position: Welcome and register guests, delivering prompt and courteous service while managing guest check-ins and check-outs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the check-in and check-out process for guests.
- Provide accurate and relevant information to guests and customers.
- Utilize computer systems to input and retrieve information using electronic and numerical codes.
- Select appropriate accommodations based on guest preferences and requirements.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve issues, escalating complaints to management when necessary.
- Maintain composure and attentiveness during busy periods and emergencies.
- Answer phone calls in a professional and clear manner, documenting guest requests and complaints in the system.
- Adhere to brand and service standards, ensuring SALT expectations are met.
- Engage effectively with both internal and external customers, demonstrating patience, tact, and diplomacy to resolve conflicts.
- Provide information about the hotel, local area, and available services.
- Greet and welcome guests upon their arrival.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Ability to stand and move throughout the front office while performing essential job functions.
- Proficient in reading, listening, and communicating effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Capability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
- Hearing and visual acuity to observe and detect signs of emergencies.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
