Position Overview
Sound Credit Union is seeking a dedicated Supplier Relations Specialist to enhance our vendor management initiatives and bolster our business continuity strategies. This role is essential in refining our vendor oversight programs and collaborating with various stakeholders to mitigate risks and optimize costs.

Key Responsibilities
The Supplier Relations Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Enhancing and managing the vendor qualification and onboarding procedures.
  • Overseeing the Credit Union's contract portfolio, ensuring meticulous management of contract renewals and negotiations.
  • Providing comprehensive support throughout the contracting lifecycle and managing contracts post-execution.
  • Resolving contractual disputes and issues effectively.
  • Engaging in business reviews to share best practices and address challenges, ultimately improving vendor performance.
  • Reviewing and refining current vendor management processes to enhance efficiency and adoption.
  • Assisting business partners in the onboarding of new vendors and managing the due diligence process.
  • Conducting audits of vendor reviews, documenting findings, and making recommendations to management.
  • Strengthening our Business Continuity Planning (BCP) by identifying gaps and implementing solutions.
  • Developing a robust Business Continuity program, including regular audits and training sessions for staff.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and business continuity planning.
  • Project management experience is preferred.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
