The Company

Cardiac Study Center (CSC) has partnered with Pulse Heart Institute to deliver exceptional outpatient cardiology and billing services for over five decades. Our collaboration with MultiCare Health System, initiated in 2016, aims to enhance the health outcomes of cardiac patients in the Puget Sound Region.

Work Environment and Schedule:

This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week, with an 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday. Our facilities are closed on weekends and holidays.

Location: Tacoma, WA

Qualifications for the Procurement Specialist:

• 2-4 years of relevant procurement experience, ideally within a healthcare setting.

• At least 1 year of experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in a billing capacity.

The Procurement Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing the purchasing processes within the organization. This position focuses on acquiring high-quality products and services at competitive prices. Responsibilities include managing the entire procurement cycle, analyzing purchase requests, evaluating suppliers, and fostering strong vendor relationships. The role also involves ensuring adherence to purchasing policies, negotiating contracts, and effectively addressing supply chain challenges. Strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills with both internal teams and external vendors are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to enhance cost efficiency and quality.

• Analyze purchase requests, ensure compliance with company policies, and manage purchase orders.

• Conduct comprehensive supplier evaluations and manage vendor risk assessments.

• Collaborate with internal departments to clarify product specifications and resolve procurement issues.

• Oversee the bidding process, assess bids, negotiate contracts, and select vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability.

• Maintain professional relationships with suppliers and conduct regular audits to uphold service standards.

• Educate and assist internal teams and vendors regarding procurement processes.

• Ensure timely delivery of supplies to meet organizational needs.

• Communicate effectively across various organizational levels and with external partners.

• Protect confidential information, including HIPAA and proprietary data.

• Adjust work schedule as needed to meet deadlines and operational demands, including occasional weekend and evening hours.
