Director of Public Policy Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Director of Public Policy to join our team at The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). As a key member of our policy and advocacy team, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of efficient political strategies to advance state and congressional support for ACOG's advocacy priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute annual Ob-Gyn PAC fundraising strategy, including management of PAC promotion and messaging, digital and in-person PAC fundraising opportunities, and various donor incentive programs
  • Manage external outreach and internal operations, including liaison with ACOG Members and candidates, campaigns, and committees
  • Lead the creation, implementation, and ongoing analysis and improvement of annual Ob-Gyn PAC fundraising strategy
  • Provide leadership, direction, and management of staff, including supervising staff, providing feedback, coaching, support, mentoring, performance management, and training and development opportunities as appropriate
  • Assist with other Ob-Gyn PAC and related ACOG advocacy projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5 years of related experience in political fundraising and database management required
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or other related software
