Job Description

The Afterschool Learning Program Coordinator will play a vital role in delivering our unique, high-quality afterschool program. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing a strong understanding of company goals and mission as well as organization's functionality;
  • Working closely with direct supervisor, other classroom facilitators, and volunteers to plan, prepare, and implement the highest quality programming;
  • Leading and modifying the curriculum to ensure all students have opportunities to improve their English language skills;
  • Maintaining cleanliness of classrooms and shared spaces;
  • Facilitating meal distribution and clean up;
  • Taking daily attendance and meal count for classrooms with complete accuracy to stay in compliance with funding sources;
Required Skills and Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, candidates should possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships with others;
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with people of diverse ethnic, economic, racial, and cultural backgrounds;
  • Experience working with English Language Learners;
  • Willingness to learn and implement Trauma-Informed Care practices;
  • Knowledge of various software programs.
