Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Part Time Recreation Specialist to join our team at the Eastway Regional Recreation Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and implementing recreational programs and activities for diverse audiences.

Job Description
  • Develop and Implement Programs: Create and lead recreational programs for youth and senior adults, including educational and self-development activities, cultural arts, social events, afterschool programs, and summer camps.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to program participants, patrons, and community members through various communication channels.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of participants, staff, and facilities by enforcing rules and regulations, and administering first aid when necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Park and Recreation Administration, Health and Physical Education, or a related field.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver's License, CPR certification, Wilderness First Aid certification, and American Canoe Association Kayak and SUP level I or II certification.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer applications relevant to the position.
