Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and social-justice-minded individual to become a part-time Program Facilitator for our Elementary School program at ourBRIDGE for KIDS. The role will be essential in delivering our unique, high-quality afterschool program by understanding, prepping, and overseeing curriculum execution, cultivating LERD values, and embodying the ourBRIDGE Way in the classroom at all times.

The Program Facilitator will oversee programming for 25 students, along with a Program Facilitator and volunteers. We offer extensive training and a plethora of opportunities for professional development and growth within the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development: Develop a strong understanding of company goals and mission as well as organization's functionality, and work closely with the direct supervisor, other program facilitators, and volunteers to appropriately plan, prepare, and implement our high-quality program every day.
  • Classroom Management: Ensure readiness each day for the program by having a clear understanding of the curriculum and gathering necessary materials, lead and modify the curriculum to ensure all students have opportunities to improve their English language skills, monitor, plan, and lead efforts to ensure the improvement of the students' academic performance.
  • Communication: Communicate with direct supervisor, and relevant lead staff about daily logistics and classroom needs, communicate with Community Engagement Coordinator, Program Director and Program Facilitators about upcoming/recurring partnerships happening at the center including club day coordination and volunteer participation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field.
  • Possession of a passion for working with newly arrived families and students and an eagerness to help them succeed.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with people of diverse ethnic, economic, racial, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Experience working with English Language Learners.

$17-$19 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
