Job Summary

Duquesne Light Holdings is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to secure contracts, cultivate customer relationships, and drive business opportunities in the Washington DC/MD/VA area.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of consultative sales experience, preferably within construction or energy services markets, and a strong understanding of state and federal legislation pertaining to procurement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Qualify, pursue, and secure new business with assigned local and municipal targets that align with TEN's capabilities and solutions sets.
  • Develop an understanding of prospective customer's business objectives to ensure successful solution offerings.
  • Work with TEN's technical team to identify and develop solutions that meet customer needs, demonstrate TEN's value, and differentiate TEN from competitors.
  • Identify potential business targets through direct selling, leveraging suppliers, contractors, and manufacturers' representative relationships, and attending trade shows and industry conferences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of consultative sales experience in construction or energy services markets.
  • Familiarity with state and federal legislation pertaining to procurement.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and business relationships.
