Position Overview

The successful candidate will assume the role of Director of Consulting, reporting directly to the CEO & CTO. The ideal individual will have a proven history of executing multiple mid-market and enterprise e-commerce implementations for national and international retailers, consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies, and other enterprises that prioritize digital commerce.

This role requires comprehensive experience across the digital retail spectrum, encompassing traditional back-office solutions and modern digital strategies to address contemporary challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • E-Commerce & Digital Retail Strategy: Lead strategy and design workshops, delivering detailed roadmaps that encompass user experience, solution architecture, and technology design, along with budget considerations.
  • Consulting & Management Expertise: Execute enterprise e-commerce implementations and develop go-to-market strategies while effectively presenting to executive leadership and at industry conferences.
  • Technical Oversight: Guide software engineers and technical teams to ensure high-quality e-commerce solutions, defining the technical architecture and technology stack with a focus on e-commerce platforms.
  • Team Development & Collaboration: Foster expertise within the team in delivering innovative e-commerce solutions, managing multiple delivery squads to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
  • Client Relationship Management: Provide expert advice to stakeholders within client organizations, identifying growth opportunities within e-commerce projects to deliver business value.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks that could impact project success, escalating issues to executive leadership as necessary.
  • Thought Leadership: Establish the consultancy as a leader in e-commerce solutions, providing insights on industry trends and enhancing customer experiences.
Qualifications
  • Extensive consulting experience in e-commerce and retail technology.
  • Demonstrated success in a technology leadership role within e-commerce and software development projects.
  • Proficient in tools and software for strategy, design, and architecture.
  • Experience in overseeing commerce platform delivery and optimizing customer experience.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering, system architecture, and project management in an e-commerce context.
  • Proven ability to mentor team members and cultivate a high-performance culture.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of fostering trust and collaboration with clients and team members.
