Job Overview

The successful candidate will take on the role of Director of Consulting, reporting directly to the executive leadership. The ideal individual will have extensive experience in executing mid-market and enterprise-level e-commerce projects for both national and international retailers, consumer packaged goods companies, and other organizations where digital commerce is central to their operations.

In this position, you will serve as the primary technology and account leadership representative for various new business opportunities and ongoing projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic E-Commerce Leadership: Conducting strategy and design workshops, delivering comprehensive roadmaps that encompass user experience, solution architecture, and budget considerations.
  • Consultative Expertise: Leading and executing large-scale e-commerce implementations while developing go-to-market strategies and presenting to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Technical Oversight: Guiding software engineers and technical teams to ensure high-quality e-commerce solutions, while defining the overarching technical architecture.
  • Team Development: Fostering expertise within the team to deliver state-of-the-art e-commerce solutions and managing multiple project teams to meet deadlines.
  • Client Relationship Management: Offering expert advice and nurturing stakeholder relationships to drive growth in e-commerce initiatives.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identifying and addressing potential risks that could impact project success and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Thought Leadership: Establishing the consultancy as a leader in e-commerce solutions through insights on industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in consulting within the e-commerce and retail technology sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in a technology leadership role related to e-commerce and software development.
  • Proficiency with tools and software for strategy formulation, design, and architecture presentation.
  • Experience in overseeing e-commerce platform delivery and optimizing customer experiences.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering, system architecture, and project management in an e-commerce context.
  • Proven ability to guide clients and manage diverse technology projects effectively.
  • Experience mentoring team members and cultivating a high-performance culture.
  • Capability to contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the executive level.
