Position Title: Direct Care Workers/Recovery Assistants

Organization: Change Inc.

Direct Care Workers/Recovery Assistants deliver essential supportive services to individuals in both home and community environments. Our clients benefit from a range of programs we provide, which encompass elder care (including companionship, homemaking, and personal care assistance), mental health and recovery support, as well as in-home assistance for individuals with developmental disabilities or acquired brain injuries.

  • Engage in meaningful conversations and offer companionship, support, and necessary resources for daily living.
  • Establish and nurture a supportive relationship with participants through effective communication techniques.
  • Assist individuals in reaching their recovery plan objectives.
  • Regularly report progress to supervisors and agency representatives through daily documentation.
  • Transport clients to medical appointments or social activities as outlined in their recovery plans, utilizing personal vehicles or public transportation.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed.
  • Capable of lifting items weighing up to 15 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in healthcare or a strong background in customer service.
  • Dependable and responsible, with a genuine passion for helping others.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance.
