Healthcare Provider

Wilmington, Delaware, United States Family Medicine at Greenhill Full time
Job Overview

The Healthcare Provider position at Family Medicine at Greenhill (FMAG) is designed for a skilled professional to manage a diverse panel of primary care patients. This role involves providing both preventive and acute care, as well as overseeing chronic health conditions and performing various office-based procedures. The patient demographic spans from infants to seniors, allowing for a tailored approach that aligns with the clinician's expertise and interests.

What Sets Family Medicine at Greenhill Apart?
At FMAG, we prioritize reducing the administrative load on our healthcare providers. Many professionals face challenges due to excessive paperwork and data entry, which detracts from patient care. We believe that clinicians should focus on diagnosing and treating patients rather than being overwhelmed by administrative tasks.

Each clinician is supported by a dedicated care management nurse who addresses patient inquiries and manages refills and requests. Additionally, clerical staff are available to handle preauthorization and other documentation. The option for a scribe to assist with note-taking during patient visits further enhances the clinician's ability to focus on patient interaction.

Accessibility to Care:
Our commitment is to ensure that patients, particularly those from vulnerable and underserved populations, have ample access to healthcare services. We offer flexible appointment times, including early mornings, evenings, and Saturday mornings, as well as telemedicine options and walk-in availability during weekdays.

Support for Mental Health:
Recognizing the significance of mental health, we have a Licensed Clinical Social Worker on our team who provides counseling and addresses the social needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient panel.
  • Assist with patient care for other clinicians as necessary.
  • Participate in early morning, evening, and occasional Saturday shifts.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, social workers, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Valid licensure to practice in the State of Delaware.
  • Current, unencumbered DEA and Delaware controlled substance licenses.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in a primary care or similar healthcare environment.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record systems (EHR).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative spirit to work effectively within a healthcare team.
  • Alignment with the principles of high-quality, value-driven care.
  • Experience with home visits is advantageous.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Company Overview

At Family Medicine at Greenhill, we strive to be accessible to all patients, particularly those who are more vulnerable and disadvantaged. Our flexible scheduling options and commitment to reducing administrative burdens on our clinicians reflect our dedication to high-quality patient care.
