Essential to supporting KLA's operations is the finance team, which collaborates with corporate and global business organizations to provide expertise and guidance for developing and executing sound business models and practices.

The Finance organization comprises operations and corporate finance teams.

The operations finance team influences business decisions by gathering the best available operational information, distilling it, and making recommendations to our management team on the optimal course of action.

The corporate team offers a broad range of services, including financial planning, corporate accounting, tax, industry analysis and benchmarking, internal audits, SEC reporting, and merger and acquisition support.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
The Financial Analyst will support the Division's research and development teams in planning, tracking, and analyzing budgets.

This position provides exposure to highly efficient team members with industry and technical expertise, valuable for building knowledge and advancing at KLA.

Responsibilities include:
1. Analyzing project development costs
2. Monitoring expense trends and providing insights to the engineering team and management
3. Updating quarterly cost and headcount allocations to engineering programs
4. Maintaining program spending tracker and supporting landmark presentations to business leaders
5. Assisting with ad hoc requests for financial modeling, scenario analysis, and simulations
6. Supporting engineering teams in developing and consolidating the annual spending budget
7. Preparing monthly financial forecasts for headcount expenses and project material spending
8. Preparing quarterly close journals and balance sheet reconciliations
9. Compiling financial summaries of project development costs
10. Coordinating and consolidating the monthly reporting package
11. Managing the fixed asset approval process and depreciation forecast for the R&D team
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate (Academic) Degree with 3 years of related work experience; Master's Level Degree with 6 years of related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree with 8 years of related work experience
Relevant experience in finance and accounting functions
Strong MS Excel skills
Working knowledge of financial planning systems
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment
Comfortable in ambiguous environments, with the ability to approach and communicate with various levels of the organization
Independent and critical thinker, fast learner, and excellent attention to detail
Understanding of P&L and Balance sheet accounts
