About the Opportunity

JPI is seeking a seasoned Vice President, Development to join our Western Region team in San Diego and Irvine, CA. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading new development projects from due diligence through construction. This role will also oversee entitlement projects in coordination with our land acquisition and development teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Entitlements: Lead and manage the entitlement process from concept through approval, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Development: Oversee due diligence for potential development opportunities, collaborate with the Land Acquisition team, and manage project consultants.
  • Leadership: Mentor and develop the team for career growth and high performance.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Urban Planning, Accounting, Real Estate, Engineering, Math, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in entitlements, executing development opportunities, working with capital partners, market analytics, asset management, property operations, and strong negotiation skills.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience within Real Estate development, including significant multifamily development experience.
