Senior Vice President, Business Development Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Vice President, Business Development to join our executive team at Poseida Therapeutics, Inc. This is a unique opportunity to lead and manage our business development and new product planning efforts, driving growth and value creation for our company.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies for growth through business development activities and value creation in our pipeline assets.
- Lead and manage a high-performing business development team, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure success.
- Collaborate with our executive team, including the CEO and CFO, to establish and drive overall corporate growth strategy and long-range planning.
- Identify and evaluate strategic business opportunities, including out-licensing and in-licensing, academic and industry partnerships, M&As, alliances, and joint ventures.
- Develop and present robust financial modeling and analyses to value projects and terms, and deliver high-level impactful presentations to senior management, the Board of Directors, and key stakeholders.
- Advanced degree in business or scientific discipline and 20+ years' experience in business development and new product planning/strategic marketing in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Proven track record of successfully identifying, evaluating, structuring, negotiating, and closing large and complex licensing and/or partnership transactions.
- Deep understanding of pharmaceutical product lifecycle management, including drug development and delivery process, regulatory paths, product launch, and commercialization over the life cycle.
- Excellent presentation and communications skills, with the ability to influence and work successfully with varied audiences.
- Proven people leader with experience building teams, capabilities, and functions.
