Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Operations Manager to oversee the management of water treatment processes. This role involves ensuring the efficient operation of water treatment facilities and related systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operation of water treatment facilities and associated pumping systems.
  • Manage personnel involved in water treatment operations.
  • Ensure the effective use of support equipment, including pumps and piping.
  • Maintain accurate daily records of plant performance and operations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and document findings.
  • Report any operational issues to management promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors as necessary to fulfill operational needs.
  • Manage project budgets to maximize value and efficiency.
  • Monitor team performance and provide necessary support to ensure project success.
  • Assist in planned maintenance activities for water treatment facilities.
  • Oversee waste management processes in accordance with relevant regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Water Treatment Operator Level III or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial or mining water treatment.
  • Proven management experience in large-scale water treatment operations.
  • Experience in leading teams of 25 or more personnel.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Canadian Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 kg.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of safe work practices and risk mitigation.
