Job Summary

Castle Park is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Maintenance to oversee the maintenance department and contribute to preparing the park for year-round operation, maintaining the park during operation, and winterizing the water playground area for the season.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Create and manage daily maintenance budget, including operating expenditures, capital expenditures, and labor expenses for the maintenance department.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise the full-time maintenance staff and manage workload for maximum efficiency.
  • Facility Planning: Plan major repairs for attractions and buildings.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain facility in compliance with OSHA, CAL OSHA, and all other pertinent and applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Employee Development: Train all necessary employees in their specific job functions and maintain the training log for expiring certification.
  • Operational Efficiency: Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed for park operation, employee relations, timekeeping, and safety, including daily, weekly, and monthly documentation.
  • Project Management: Oversee all major new construction projects using working knowledge of City of Riverside guidelines/restrictions.
  • Safety Protocols: Complete and maintain all daily safety checks for all attractions and buildings.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Facilitate annual safety inspections with State of California Department of Industrial Relations: Division of Occupational Safety and Health, and take any corrective actions necessary.
  • Vendor Management: Act as liaison with all contractors/vendors for the maintenance department.
  • Event Support: Oversee Halloween constructions and operation.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in the Maintenance and Park Duty Manager rotation for the park during the operating season.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Language: Fluent English.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience with 3-5 years in a supervisory role in a Theme/Aquatic/Recreational facility managing ride and facility maintenance and water treatment operations.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of OSHA requirements and regulations.
  • Certifications: CPO Certification.
  • Training: DOT Hazardous Materials Training, Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Training, DOT Incident Reporting Training, California Code of Regulations Title 22 Training, Lithium Battery Handling, Battery Hazard Communication Training, Aerial High Lift and Rescue Training, and Emergency Spill Response Training.
